Add A Sentiment

Good Morning,

My Crafty Friends, Visitors  and Follower,

Hope everything is OK with you all?

Well can you believe its the last Monday of February
and with it being a leap year I wonder how many
ladies have been proposing to their loved ones?

Well all us ladies on the design team have been busy getting
cards ready for our latest  challenge, which  starts today over
 on the :-

The challenge theme is

Add A Sentiment -  The theme has been chosen by
yours faithfully me.

Jennifer

So its basically  anything goes as long as you add a sentiment
really nice and easy, so come on and join us.

I have chosen to use an image from the Boys to Men
Cd  and this was my very first cd that I purchase
from Ooh La La quite a few years ago but its so
versatile and has some fabulous image for those
male cards that I know so many of us hate doing.

It can be purchased, along with many more HERE.

The prize for the winner will be
2 digi downloads from the Ooh La La Creations Store

DETAILS

1. Using a  7 x 7 white card I matted it with navy card, then
over that was added a piece of blue paper with seagulls
on it ( from Craftwork cards paper pack).

2. Next I added another piece of navy card and then matted
this with the striped paper printed from the cd.

3. The image also from the cd was matted onto navy card
and them using foam pads adhered to the card.

4. The sentiment and quote also came from the same
cd. The quote  is as follows ( A real friend is someone
who walks in when the rest of the world walks out )

To complete I have just added a gold cord down the side.
So there you have it  using this cd I have created a very
quick male card. (Told you its a good one to use)

Prize 2 Digi images from their store

The image I have worked with is from Oddball Art and
she is called Bonnie BookWorm and you can purchase her HERE.

DETAILS
1. Started with an 8 x8 card and round the corners, then with
paper from Craftworks Cards Ombre paper pad I die cut
the frame using Tonic Jasmine layering die set, also rounded
the corners.

2. The image has been coloured with Copic and still using
the same die set only a couple of sized down she was
cut out. Before taking out of the die I distressed around
the edges with T.H. scattered straw distress ink.  Still
with the same die I cut again out of white card and
mounted the image onto it. It was then mounted onto
the card using foam tape.

3. I took white flowers from my stash and die cut two
flourishes.  Before they were adhered I used the
same ink to go around the edges of the flowers and
along the flourishes.

So there you go, the team are waiting eagerly to see
your designs.

please with the background as usually I find it quite
hard to create a background with inks  but on this
image for once I got it right (well its right enough
for me).

My take on the challenge theme was to use
the colour Purple and Gems as the embellishments.

using the same die, I cut the backing frame from purple
card and then mounted the image onto it. It was then

3. The heart frame around the  image was done using a
Tattered Lace die (sorry do not know the name).

Need A Little Love

Good Morning

My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I am excited to announce that I have been accepted on the Design Team
for  Unicorn Challenge Blog and today I am showcasing my first card
made for this challenge.

Unicorn Challenge Blog

The theme for this months challenge is

LOTS OF LOVE

You have until  the 26th February to enter so lets see all those
love cards.

DETAILS

1. Using an 8 x 8 card I matted it with a piece of craft card.
Next step was to cut a piece of buff card and adhere the
red card to this.

2. The backing paper was taken from MCS and I cut out
the inside of the heart to allow the red card to show through.
I decided that I needed something around the heart so
I opted to use something that has long been forgotten
by us crafters PEEL OFF Borders and I am quite happy
with the effect.

3.Before adhering to the base card I wrapped a piece of red
satin ribbon along the edge and created a tie bow.

4. Red roses from my stash were then added to the heart
and I have stamped the sentiment ALL MY LOVE.

To complete I have used glitter pen on the roses and the
wings of the little elf's and added gold candies to each
corner.

Thank you so much for calling and leaving me your
lovely comments, I really do appreciate them.
