Flower Trellis

Good Morning
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are we all doing?.  Are you coping with this weather?, its so up and down
and this wind is driving me nuts. I hate the wind, I don't even like a breeze,
how about you?

Well nearly the end of another week and can you believe it's nearly May
it will be Christmas  before we know it at this rate.

Though I had better get my blog post done early today as with it being
Thursday, my cousin Mary is due to visit and we will be popping out
before we get into crafting, so busy day but we never complain about
it being busy when we craft do we?

Today I have made a card using one of the new Tattered Lace dies
and Decoupage CD, Charisma Peony.

DETAILS

1. I started with a 5 x7 cream card and matted it with a
backing paper from the Cd.

2. Next using the Sue Wilson Die, Background from the
Greek Island Collection  I cut it out in white card.

3. Using the Tattered Lace Cd Decoupage Charisma Peony
I selected the pink collection and printed it onto super
smooth card stock.  Once printed I then took the
die that accompanies the cd placed over one section
of flowers (you get four on a sheet) and cut. All that
remained was for me to decoupage them up but I
also left some single and arranged them around
the background die to create a trellis look. The
leaves are also included.

4. To complete I made a small bow for the centre and
added two silver metal butterflies.

Easy Peasy card to make but I think it is quite delicate looking
and these flowers are going to come in very useful.

Anyway that's it from me today, my friends
and I hope to be back tomorrow. Thanks for calling
and leaving me your comments, I really do read
each and everyone and appreciate you taking the
time to visit.  Bless each and everyone of you.

Until Next Time

DETAILS

1. Card blank is an Stepper and to this I have backed it
using 6 x 6 paper from What a Hoot  from the Works.

2. Next step was to cut out the circles again with paper from
the same paper pad. Then I adhered a piece of green ribbon
along the front panel.

3. The image has been coloured using Copic and then using
foam pads mounted onto the card at a slight angle.

4. To enhance the design I used purple gems around the
circles, along the ribbon and then added a bow with
purple gem added to the centre.

The card was then completed by added a flourish to each
of the stepper cuts and adding pink  flowers from
Sweet Lilac. The first two flowers have purple
dragonfly's added to their centres and the

Freedom

Good Afternoon

My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Sorry not been around, but I have been busy in the garden, trying to make the most
of the nice weather getting bulbs planted and doing a general tidy up.

Although I have not been doing a blog post, I have tried to keep up with
you all and I hope I have not missed anyone out when doing the rounds,
if I have please forgive me.

I would like to welcome two new followers, Susan and Alter This.  I hope
you like what you see and thank you for you support. Onwards  and
upward to making 90!!!!.

Since today is not the gardening weather (for me anyway) I have decided
to get my act together and show you some of the work I have done but
not got around to posting.  So without further ado today's card is another
one from the Polkadoodles cd Eden.

Details

1. Card is 5 x7 and I decided to use it landscape. Firstly
taking a backing paper from the cd I matted it onto the card.

2. Next using a Tonic over the edge die I cut two in lilac satin
cardstock and layered them at each end of the card.

3. Using pink satin card and another paper from the cd I cut
them oblong and matted them at an angle onto the base.

4. The image was a pre- coloured one from the cd and again
using lilac satin card I adhered the image to it and them
fuzzy cut, then mounted onto the card.

5.  Taking  pearls I adhered them around the edge of the card
and arranged more pearls onto the circle to give more
texture to the image.

6. I used small pink and lilac roses and a wooden birdcage that
I coloured lilac.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit and that you will visit me
again tomorrow, as Wednesday I will be showcasing my DT
make for the new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty.

Just For You

Good Morning
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Hope you are all enjoying this lovely weather, and making the most of getting
outside?.

I absolutely love the hot weather and am enjoying it so far but for me it
needs to be hotter, although I have been in the garden doing some much
needing gardening, hence to say my blog has not been getting the attention
only to do my DT work.  I just hate being inside when the sun is out,
I cannot help it, if I am stuck inside I start to get really fed up and
don't have the heart to do thing that keep in.  Are any of you the same
or is just me ???

Today's card is a quickie and was all done in MCS apart from the
backing, Hope you like.

DETAILS

1. Card size is 7 x 10 and to this I added a cream (looks gold in
the picture) backing paper that I embossed using Crafters
Companion Embossalicious Delicate Floral Embossing
folder.

2. Using MCS I created the picture and added the embellishments
of flowers, bow and butterfly. The sentiment was also digitally
done.  I then printed it off onto super smooth.

3. The image was then mounted onto white card and then
adhered to the embossed backing paper.

4. To complete I added two white feathers a pearl stick pin
and created a small white bow from spider web using
a square pearl gem at its centre.

Well my friends, I will have to take my leave as its
Thursday and as you may know by now that it's
the day that my cousin Mary comes to visit and
also our crafting day (or shopping, or chatting
depending on how we both feel on the day)

So hopefully I will be back tomorrow, I hope you will
and that you have enjoyed your visit. I will  be visiting
your blogs later to see what you have been up to.

Dreams of Paris

Good Afternoon
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are we all doing today? at least the weather is a bit better today.
Still  chilly for me but hopefully as the week progresses, maybe the
weather will.
I see that I have at last made it to 80 followers, sorry I do not know who
No 80 is but you are very welcome and I hope you will continue to
follow.  Just let me know your ID then I can follow you if I am not
already doing so.

Quick card today as not felling in the mood to craft today, for what
reason I do not know but hopefully I will get back on track tomorrow.

DETAILS

1. Using a blank 5 x 7 card I matted it with black card

2. The backing paper was taken along with all the
element from the new Crafters Companion CD
Times Gone By. I played the backing paper on
top of the black card, then the topper was also
matted onto black card and then adhered to the
card at an angle.

3.When the sheet was printed out it also contained
the tags and smaller topper, so I decided to use
everything that was on the sheet. Just
matting them all onto black card, placing
them at different angles along the card and
using a piece of bakers twine for the tags.

So so simple and there are lots of really
nice elements on the cd, if vintage is
your thing, or if just like me sometimes
it's nice to make a vintage card.

Well folks that's it from me, off the see
what everyone has been up to and  do
some commenting.

Hope to see you tomorrow

Butterflies Galore

Good Afternoon
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

What has happened to this weather? gales, rain and cold. I thought summer
was on its way last week, how wrong can you be. I am sitting here and all the trees
at the back are blowing that much they look as if they will bend double.
My poor rotary washing line is like a merry go round.

I hope things calm down a bit later.

Today's make is using a  digi image from Polka Doodles cd Eden.

DETAILS

1. Card base is 7 x 9.5 and has fancy edges. To this I added
a piece of white card that has been embossed.

2. The image was printed onto super smooth card and
coloured with Copic's pens, I then die cut it using
and oval die. Once cut I coloured the edges with
Pan Pastels for a softer effect.

3. The butterfly frame was created by using a Tonic
butterfly die and cutting it out five times out of
black shiny card then arranging them around the
image to form the frame. I am quite please with
the effect.

4. I added a black bow (make from the string wrapping that
oranges come in) and added a dazzler to the centre.

To complete I added the butterfly sentiment with love
to the top.

There you go, hope you like.
Enjoy the rest of Sunday and be careful if you are out and about.

Hope to be back tomorrow.

Wilderness

Good Morning, My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are we all this Friday morning, Yes Friday already, looking forward
to the weekend? Lets hope the weather keeps up.

Quickie post today as off the mums to do the domestic chores and
won't be home until this afternoon.

Something a little different from me today, be kind!!
DETAILS

1. Using a fancy edged white card blank I matted  it with
dark blue patterned  card ( I know it look like black card
but trust me it's not)

2. On a piece of craft card I created the background  colours
with brushes and a combination of Adirondack Light
Aqua, Cool Peri, Salmon and Pin Sherbert.

3. Next using Tim Holts distress Vintage Photo I stamped the
tree, birds and the sentiment, ( The true meaning of life is to
plant trees under whose shade you do not expect to sit).

4. The ruins are stamps by Sheena Douglas and these
were stamped onto another piece of card, then cut around
and mounted onto the card with foam pads.

I will let you into a secret but you must  not tell anyone
The card did not start out like this, hence the scene
being mounted onto the background. This was
because when I first tried to do the background
I did not inspect it before I stamped the image, once
I looked OMG it was a mess and I was ready to
throw it into the bin when cousin Mary gave me
idea to cut the image away and create another
background. Thanks for the Idea Mary.

To complete the card I added two hessian strips to each end.

I must say I am quite pleased with the outcome.

Well folks that's it from me today
hope to see you back tomorrow.

You Make Me Rock

Good Morning
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Hope you are well and making the most of this lovely weather?

Oscar and I have been out for our little walk and it was a pleasure to walk
in the sunshine and feel some heat.  Don't know how long it will last
but finger crossed, as one of the things in like that make me happy
is being in the sun and feeling the heat (the hotter the better). You never
hear me saying "Oh its too hot", the only thing that annoys me is
if I have to be indoors when the sun is out, so therefore I try to get
everything thing done early morning so that afternoons are outside.

I would like to welcome Donna to my little band of followers and hope
I can entertain and maybe sometime inspire.  Donna now makes
my followers to 79 hopefully I can make 80 soon then the next goal
would be to get into three figures (I can dream can I not).

Today I am sharing a card I have made using the new Stepper
die from Ruby Red Crafts and its a little cracker, (The die I
mean not my card) but I hope you like it anyway.

DETAILS

1. Card base is white linen card and I have used the Stepper
die to create the card

2. I have matted it with paper from my stash ( along with
the die you also get the extras to create the matting, how
cool is that)

3. The image is an Elizabeth Bell and I have coloured her
with Pro markers and the die cut her using SB 5 x 7
detailed Scallops and then mounted it onto a piece
of pink card that had been embossed with a dotty
pattern. I then adhered it to the centre of the card.

4. I have enhanced the image by using flowers
from my stash.

Well is you should like to see more details of the
Stepper die, head on over to Ruby Red Crafts, just

Waiting for Mary to arrive as it's Thursday and
our day to play.

Hope to see you back tomorrow, enjoy the day.

die. The flourishes with Tonic Flourish dies and the flowers using
SB Blooms Two, the butterfly is also from SB.

4. The stopper was created  using the Tattered Lace Trent Border die

using Copic's and then fuzzy cut and mounted on to the card using foam pads.

3. To create the flourish's I used the Tonic Flourish Die and also used one

Serif. Once this was all done I then took my image and
using foam pads placed her onto the backing. Next I
added a lace border next to the ribbon.

4. Next came the subject of the theme Flowers then feathers and
Pearl stick pins all from my stash.

To complete I added flat bottom pearls at the corners.

Please Note - We have had to change the rules at Whoopsi Daisy
You are only allowed 2 entries per person but if you use a
Whoopsi Daisy image, you can have a 3rd entry.

I do hope you will join in, as you could win on of
Linnie Cd's, so don't waste anymore time, over you go.

That's all from me, I hope to see all you fabulous creations
soon.

Until Next Time

Tri Fold

Good Morning, My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Hope you are well? Quick  post today as off to mums this morning
for my usual domestic chores.  Once you retire holidays don't seem to
bother you and you just carry on as normal.

Not that I am complaining I love being retired

Today my card has been made using the new Tri-Fold die from
Ruby Red Crafts and I must say it was a doddle to use.  Should you
fancy having a go the link to the store can be found Here.

DETAILS

1. The trifold card was created using an A4 sheet of white card.

2. All the panels were also done using the Tri fold die as
you get all the panels included, Great No Measuring.

3. The panels were done with paper from my stash and
I have decorated them with various bits from my stash.

4. The centre was taken from the Hunkydory  Little Book
of Birdsong and all I did was trim it to fit into the space.

Nice and easy and I must say I am impressed with
this die.

Well my friends, that's your lot from me today,
Hope you will pop back tomorrow as I will
have my DT head on for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends New Challenge

Wishing you all a very Happy Easter
