Bring Me My Dream

Good Morning

My Crafty Friend Followers and Visitors

Hope this finds you all well and coping with the cold weather.

I have to go to mum's today, just hope the roads are not to slippery, as I
hate driving in snow or ice.  I will have to check out the street before
getting the car out and if its slippery I will just have to take a long
walk.  I would rather trundle along like a ruptured duck and take
my change on not falling on my backside than drive my car and skid.

I have only ever skidded once and it frightened the life out of me
and since then I will not take the risk.

Hey if I walk I can honestly say I have done my exercise for the day
as its about a 4mile walk to my mums, not saying what condition I
will be in when I get there and will defiantly need a sit down before
I start doing her housework.

Today my card is a  Josephine Wall decoupage by Joanna Sheen
from a cd that I purchased quite a few years ago.

DETAILS

1. Card size 5 x 7 and I have matted it with black card
and a backing paper to match the image from the cd.

2. The image consists of 5 layers, (sorry the photo is not
very bright but the image itself is dark ) and I have
matted it also on black card before adhering to the
base.

3. To complete I have added one of the sentiments that
came with the image.

That is all for today my friends, more tomorrow.

fun to colour and I will be showcasing more over the next
few days.

New Project

Good Afternoon and Welcome

My Crafty friends, Followers and Visitors

How are we all today - getting ready for the weekend?, I hope it's a good one
and whatever is on your agenda, just remember to enjoy !!

I would like to welcome my new followers and hope you enjoy your visits to my
little blog and I send big hugs to you all.

I have some news to share with you, I have been asked to join another Design Team
and its Creative Craft Cottage - how cool is that? boy I am amazed to think  that
I have not been up and running a year yet and already I am now on 4 Design Teams.

Its so exciting when this happens and I must say it boosts your confidence  no end.

I will be taking up my post with their next challenge which is on the 7th February
but the challenge is already up and running for January, so why not jump on over
to their blog and see what's going on?

Back to today and I thought I would try a new venture - doing a bit of art -
For my first attempt I think I have done Ok- what do you think?

DETAILS

       1. The MDF heart is from the works and at only 99p was a snip.

2. I covered the whole heart with white gesso and once dry I
took a stencil ( one of Imagination Crafts) and used one of
the Imagination Crafts Silkies (Red Satin) to create the
scene.

3. At this stage I must say I just stood there looking at it waiting
for some idea as to what to do next. HA HA I thought I
wonder is gilding wax would work (Well I did tell you
I have never done anything like this before) so in for a penny
in for a pound out came the wax and I gently rubbed it on.

4. Again the same question and blank look on my face What to do?
then I remembered these sentiments I had purchased from Tonic
so with Shiny red card I die cut out three and adhered then
to the heart.

5. To complete I adhered pearls around the edge, placed a
key embellishment and tiny red silk flowers (from my stash).

And there is my little piece of Art work !!

I do hope you have enjoyed your visit and that you will call
again soon.

Until Next  Time

Firefly

Good Afternoon
My Crafty Friends. Followers  and Visitors

Hope my little blog find you all ok and able to cope with the weather.  Some
of you must be experiencing some serious conditions and I hope you are
all keeping safe and warm.

In my part of the world (Cheshire) its not too bad at present. We have it cold
but lovely sunshine in the daytime, you could be forgiven for thinking its
spring , that is until you go outside.

Once again I must extend a very warm welcome to my new followers, I am
excited when I see that another visitor  has decided to join my little band and
I hope I can keep you all entertained and maybe, just maybe give you some
inspiration along the way.

DETAILS

1. 8 x8 white card stock and to this I have added a piece of
silver mirri board that has been embossed with one of the
new Tattered Lace folders- the name is ALL OVER FLOURISH.

2. Before adhering to the card I wrapped a piece of lace around
the mirri board.

3. The image is one of  Norma J Burnell's and she is called
Firefly and I have coloured her with pro markers and used glitter
on her wings and on the fireflies. Then it was die cut using SB
Regal Frame. The edges have be inked using Versa Magic
 Purple Hydrangea.

4. I layered the image on an angle onto three paper dollies
before attaching to the card and attached Lilac flowers
from my stash down one side.

To complete I added the sentiment that I again inked with Purple  Hydrangea and
there you have it ! Sorry  the picture quality is not so good but I could not
brighten it anymore because of the refection from the mirri board.

Well my dear friends, that is it for me today, hope to see
you all again tomorrow as it will be my inspirational  DT post
for Penny's Paper Crafty that starts at Noon tomorrow.

Angel Moon

Good Morning
My Crafty friends, Followers and Visitors

Hope you are all well and coping with the weather?

Just had to make this, the image has it was sitting on my desk crying to be
created - hope you like?

Off to mums today, a few things to sort out then back home and hopefully wing my
way into my craft room and Play!

DETAILS

1. Created the card by using SB Grand Big Scalloped Ovals, cut
two out of cream card then joined them.

2. Using the striped card I again used the same die ( only the next
size down) to create the backing. The card was in my stash
and I was amazed to find it matched my card perfectly( how many
time have we been able to say that, all the bits we save, then once
we start to find a match for a project, hey presto YOU HAVE NONE
that will go but not this time YIPPPPPP.

3. The image is a Tatty Twinkle and has been coloured with my pro
markers before cutting it out using with a SB Lacy circle die.
I then distressed the edges using Tim Holt's Scattered Straw ink.

4. Using a smaller SB Lacy Circle die I cut the sentiment and
again distressed it with the same colour ink.

5. Before attaching the backing card I wrapped a yellow spotted
ribbon around. Next I took two paper dollies and fixed them
at angles allowing me to adhere the image in the centre, using
foam pads. Foam pads were also used to adhere the  sentiment
tag.

6. To complete using Cosmic Shimmer Summer Blue PVA
I created pearls all around the edge of the card, the image
and the sentiment. Although you cannot see in the picture
I have added glitter to her wings and on the stars.

Well my friends, I must call it a day for today,
but do call again tomorrow if you can.

6. To keep the theme of the forest I then cut fern leaves in
different shades of green and arranged them around the
frame.

Docraft and the sentiment Just for You.

Loving My new Hat

Good Morning, My crafty friends, followers and visitors

How are we all today?

Busy day today, domestic chores and washing this morning, then this afternoon
I will be rekindling  an old hobby  (crocheting), by this I mean I will be
trying to remember what all the stitches are with the help of my friend Linda,
who will be giving me instructions.

I of course will be supplying the coffee and biscuits (whoops did I say biscuits)
well maybe one !!

As promised yesterday I have another offering today - hope you like?

DETAILS

1. Card size is 5 x 7 scalloped edge and I have a piece of handmade
paper at the top and orange embossed (spotted) card at the bottom.
Before matting these I placed an orange ribbon around the centre
to hide the join.

2. The image is a Sherri Baldy, (sorry I have forgotten the name)
and I have coloured her using my pro markers. Although you
cannot see very well I have glittered the little dots around the
frame before adhering her to the card at an angled position.

3. Using a Tattered Lace flourish die and white card I cut
out the flourish and then coloured it to match the image.

4. To complete I added the sentiment (Happiness in Life is to
Love and Be Loved) in the bottom  right hand corner and
a metal butterfly charm.

And that's as they say IS IT for today anyway

I hope you will visit again tomorrow as I will be
showcasing my DT card for Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge
that starts tomorrow at Noon.

Until Next Time

Dragonfly

Good Morning My crafty friends, followers and visitors

Yes it's me again two days in a row WOW must be getting my head round things
at last.  I do aim to blog everyday but one reason or another it never seems to
happen but I think I have enough makes to blog each day this week.

Well I hope you are all well and having a good day so far.

Off to mums today then doctors this afternoon, Hopefully be able to do a little
more crafting later (fingers crossed)

DETAILS

1.  Card base is 5 x7 fancy edged cream card.
To this I have added a piece of lilac ( I know it looks blue)
patterned paper.

           2. The image is from the Norma J Burnells collection and is
called Mid Summer Dragonfly and I have coloured her
using my pro markers, then added glossy accent to
the flowers, her eyes and the dragonflies wings
I have then die cut her using SB die Labels Twenty
   Isn't she just adorable?

3. Using lilac satin card I cut another die using the
same SB die, cut in in half and placed each
piece at either end of the image.

4. I then took more of the lilac  card stock and cut a
border using the Tattered Lace die Trellis Border.

5. With silver  ribbon I threaded it along the border
die before adhering to the card.

To finish off I took some dragonflies that I had in my
stash and used clear gems to enhance them. I added
a bow with a silver  and gem centrepiece.

Thanks for visiting and hope you will call again very soon
Until then

Let's go Walking

Good afternoon, my crafty friends, followers and visitors

How are we all doing today, relaxing crafting I hope.
The weather has been awful but or some of you it must have been frightening,
the winds are sure getting stronger. I have never know weather  like it before
and if you have been affected by it -
my heart goes out to you.

Anyway on a lighter note I have been playing around on the computer and
found a Cd with some Art Deco work on it, so I thought hey ho lets make
a card using some of these images, so here it is, hope you like?

DETAILS

1. I started out with an 8 x8  card and I  made it into an easel card.

2. From the cd I took the image  and the corresponding backing
paper. I decoupaged the image and added a purple feather
  trim around it.

3. Using silver mirri card I created a frame then added the pale
blue paper. Another frame was made and this time I added
the patterned paper before adhering  all the card.

4. The image was then added to the card and to add more interest
I added two blue feathers a pearl embellishment, two pearl
stick pins, and pearls down the sides.

5. Again using the the mirri board and patterned paper I created
the stopper to which I added the sentiment Best Wishes and
Pearls.

well that's me for today
