Girlie

Good Morning, My Crafty Friends, Visits and Follower,

Happy New Year to you all. I am back again with another DT blog post.

I am very excited today to be showcasing my very first DT make for

  Ooh La La Challenge Blog

Working with cd's is one of my favourite techniques and being able
to create using the fabulous  Ooh La La cd's is just amazing.

The challenge theme is

GIRLE and has been chosen by Deborah

I have chosen to use an image from the
Everyday  Collection and it can be purchased, along with
many more HERE.  The prize for the winner will be
2 digi downloads from the Ooh La La Creations Store

DETAILS

1. Using an 8 x 8 card I matted first with lilac
glitter card them with backing paper from the cd.
Still using the same glitter card I die cut the
butterfly border using the Joy butterfly border
and then adhered it to the backing paper.
Before they were adhered to the card I wrapped
a piece of organza  lilac ribbon across the centre.

2. Next I took two paper doilies and coloured
then with lilac ( sorry  they look pink) ink,
then adhered them flat onto the backing paper.

3. I printed the topper onto super smooth cut
around it and using foam pads adhered it to
the card.  Glitter has been added to give that
little extra sparkle.

4. Using the Tattered Lace flower cart die
I created the cart and added glitter all
over it.

To complete my Girle card using Lilac organza ribbon
I created the triple bow left the tail long and twisted
them and secured them to the card with Lilac Gems.

I do hope you will join in the challenge and pop over
to the challenge blog, take a peep at the wonderful
cards that the fabulous team have made for your
inspiration.

Sparkle and New To You

Good Morning

My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Well after all those weeks of rushing around, making cards
wrapping presents, its over.

May I take this opportunity to wish each and everyone of you
a Very Happy New Year.

Don't know what has happened with blogger but of some
reason, I do not know what, some of my followers have
 disappeared. Welcome to Brawny x

How was your Christmas? I hope Santa brought you something
nice, but most of all I hope you managed to enjoy the holiday.

We as usual had a very quite Christmas, had mum over from
Christmas Eve until the day after boxing day and on the whole
I think she had a nice time,  she certainly had a bit of excitement
as on Boxing Day the  small river that runs along my house
decided to overflow and from early  afternoon we watched
the water rising in the garden until we had it flowing all over
the back, side and front gardens.

Sandbags were delivered in the evening and my husband
and other male residents were out in wellies barricading
us all up.  We were fortunate enough that the water
did not come in but its still scary watching water
rising and knowing there is nothing you can do to
stop it only hope and pray.  Anyway as I said
mum enjoyed looking through the window giving me
a running commentary  on what was going on.

Luckily  by the time I got up at 5am next day water
has subsided only leaving a small lake at the front
of the houses in what was the road.  We are the
lucky ones, my heart goes out to all the other
people who were not so lucky and have been
devastated  by all this rainfall.

In today's post I want to share with your my DT make for our
new challenge over at

I have then rounded the edges.

2. I then took another piece of navy card and a piece of

DETAILS

1. Created the side easel card using an A4 white card. Then
I took another piece of card and adhered this to the top

2. Using the design papers VINTAGE GARDEN PARTY
for Michelle R Designs paper set I created the background

backing papers, there are bows, mini envelopes.
sentiments and much more.

3. The image is from Moonflower Digistamps and she

just gorgeous and was a delight to colour with my
