For A Friend

Good Morning,

My Crafty Friends, Visitors and Follower,

Welcome to my second blog post of the day.

Today we are starting our new
challenge  # 208  over at :-

The challenge theme is

Something Beginning With F

and its been chosen by Michelle

I have chosen to use an image from the cd

Everyday Occasions
(The title of the image is A Friend Like You)

You can purchase it and others by clicking on
the link   HERE.  There are also some great
freebies too,  so well worth checking it out.

The prize for the winner will be
2 digi downloads from the Ooh La La Creations Store

DETAILS

1. Card is 8 x8  and I have made it into an easel card.
I matted it with peach coloured card from my stash .

2. The backing papers are part of the set that go with
the topper.  I just love the bottom paper as it really
does look as if you have folded the paper but in
fact it quite flat.

3. The panels were cut also from peach card and using
the Sue Wilson die Striplets - Radiance.  I then
adhered them at the top and bottom of the card.

4. The topper was mounted onto foam tape and
adhered to the card. Sorry I could not get an
better picture of the topper as its very cute
as it depicts a little bird sitting on a washing
line of crockery and the sentiment reads
A Friend Like you is a Special Gift. This
is one of the ways I have used the theme as
the word Friend beginning with F.

5. The stopper is also another of the same
topper only this time it is in a oval shape.
Again using peach card I die cut the frame
and mounted the topper onto it, added foam
tape and adhered to the bottom of the card.

To complete I have added flowers down each
side of the topper. This is my second use
of theme by using flowers.  I also made
as small bow using peach ribbon and
adhered to the top corner.

So there you go, hope you have enjoyed your visit
and thanks for calling

My card has been made using the topper

from the Celebrate With Ruby Red cd

and digi  images just by clicking on the link
HERE.

DETAILS

1. Started with an 8 x 8 white scalloped edged card and
matted it with  Christmas backing  paper, from the
Christmas collection by Lozzy.

2. Next layer was an oblong piece of mint card but before
I adhered it to the card I added the white patterned
border die across the card.

3. The topper was printed onto super smooth and is
pre-coloured. Using the SB die branching out I
die cut the topper. Once done it was then adhered
to the green card. I felt nothing else was needed
on the topper as she is such a beauty.

4. Using the SB poinsettia dies I created the poinsettia
from white card and used the Tattered Lace  Christmas
fern and Holly leave dies to create the foliage from
mint card.

To complete I added a white and silver paper bow
from Craftwork Cards.

There you go, my first Christmas card of the year

Prize - 3 digi images

My card has been made using the image Maggie Mayhem
and you can use the link HERE if you would like to
purchase her.

DETAILS

1. Using an 8 x 8 card I matted it with black card.
Next layer is patterned paper from my stock.

2. Again black card adhered to card and onto this I
matted with backing paper taken from the Cd
Fairy Cobblers by Magik Graphics, I think its
a perfect background for this sexy little number.

3. The image was printed onto super smooth and
coloured with my new Derwent Colour Soft
pencils, first time using then and I must say
I ams quite pleased with result.  She was
then die cut with an oval die and before
removing from the die I inked the edges
using T/H Scattered Straw Distress Ink.
To add a little extra to the image I used
black pen to create the faux stitching.
I then adhered to the card using foam tape.

4. The bike is made up from peel offs and
I decided to put all the bits that are usually
left out back into the bike to create a solid
bike.  The sentiment was computer generated
and die cut and again scattered straw was
used to go over it.

To complete I added my lilac bow and the
skull and crossbones embellishment.

I do hope you will come along an join in, as
all the team are dying to see you Dark'n'Daring
projects.
