Sweet Smiles

Good Evening,
My Crafty Friends. Followers and Visitors

Before I start my little saga I would like to welcome Bonnie who is my latest follower.

Late posting from me today, its been one  of those days, you know the ones
when whatever you want to do seems to go haywire  or take an age.

Started when I had to go to hospital this morning for a blood test, now bearing in mind
the hospital is literally down the road from where I live, because it was pouring
down I decided I would go in the car, well a snail could have got there quicker.
The traffic was horrendous, well eventually I got there, got wet through going
into the hospital and then when I got to the blood test department ITS WAS PACKED
and this was only 8.45am and to top it all there had been a burst somewhere
and the department was flooded.  Anyway  I had to wait 15min to be called so
was not that bad in the end but I had to stand for the whole 15mins and boy
could I feel it on my back.

Came home and tried to make a start on doing my DT work   and I think  I
left my mojo in the hospital because for the life of me I could not get going.
Mary came as usual then Linda and we all had a nice lunch, helped
Mary to sort some of her cards out and slowly mojo started coming back.

Well now that I have bored you all to tears (sorry) here is an little
card I have made using another Sherri Baldy digi that I won.

DETAILS

1. Using  an 8 x 8 card I matted it with paper from Craftwork Cards
before I adhered it to the card I wrapped lace around the bottom
and down the side.

2. The image I coloured using Copic Pens and then die cut  using
a Tattered Lace Oval die and mounted it into the centre of the
card using foam pads.

3. The flower is made out of ribbon and I have used a lilac brad
as the centre.

To complete I added a With Love Tag and added a dragonfly brad.

That's it for today, my friends, hope you will
call again tomorrow and I promise it will be
as short post.

Until Next Time

our other sponsor is
Lacy Sunshine and they are offering a prise of $20 Gift Certificate

I do hope you will join in and for more inspiration, please visit
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge Blog where our  lovely ladies
have created some beautiful cards.  Here is my DT make
and it is one from The Paper Shelter and is called
SOPHIE IN THE COUNTY and can be purchased HERE

DETAILS

1. Using my favourite card size 8 x 8 I matted it with
paper from Craftwork Cards their Butterfly Parade
collection. Before adhering to the card I wrapped
a piece of lace along the bottom.

2. Next I laid a paper heart shaped doily, then came
the lemon felt circle.

        3. The image is as I have said from The Paper Shelter and
titled Sophie in the country and I have coloured her with
my Copic pens. She was then die cut using SB die
Timeless Rectangles ( I love this die). I then mounted it
using foam pads.

      4.   I then created some flowers and leaves and coloured the
flowers yellow to match and used blue gems for
the centres.  Another flourish was die cut and placed
near the bottom of the card to balance it all out.

There you have it, hope you like and really would love
to see you all play along with us and I cannot wait
to see all  your wonderful creations.

Lets Swing

Good Morning

My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Busy old day for me, housework, ironing and then off to Linda's after lunch
to play around doing some altered art and hopefully learning what products
go with what.

How are you all doing? trust you are well and that the weather is being kind
to you. Looking out the window you would think its spring, blue sky, sunshine
but go out and the wind hits you and its chilly.

I see that I have gained another follower but I cannot see her  name, so
please forgive me, you are very welcome and hope you enjoy what I
say and create. Please let me know who you are then I can pop over
to your blog as I think its right that we support and encourage each other.

DETAILS

1. Card is 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 scalloped edge and to this I have
matted a piece of pink paper that was free in one of the
Tattered lace magazines.

2. Next came the Dollie but before I adhered it I  decided
to thread a pink ribbon through it and gather it up
slightly.  The image is one I got free from one of
the craft fairs last year and was just a perfect fit
for the inside of the Dollie.

To complete I added pink gems to the top and bottom corners.

Very quick make today, hope you will call back tomorrow.

For Mum

Good Evening
My Crafty Friends, Followers  and  Visitors

Boy the weekend has flown by and had some catching up to do, hence why
I am late with my blog.

I would like to welcome Jackie who is my latest follower, I hope you enjoy
your visits Jackie and please let me know your blog address so that I can
pop over to you and follow.

Well had a lovely time yesterday at Leigh and I did behave myself and not
spent too much but the things I bought I am very pleased with.

Mostly I was stocking up on goodies to start doing Altered Art projects. Don't
have much of an idea yet as to what goes with what but I will have.

I could not resist buying this MDF heart and I have been doing it for some
time today (longer than anticipated but spent at least 1/2 hour looking at it)

Anyway once I started I was on a roll and I think seeing as this is only
my third attempt at this craft I am very please with the result and I
hope mum will like it as I will be giving her this on Mothers Day as part
of her present.

DETAILS

1. Started by covering the heart with white Gesso and once
dried I covered it with Imagination Crafts Lavender Lace
Silkies.

2.The flower at the bottom is made from ribbon I bought
at the show and you draw the cord at the  ends and it
make this gorgeous flower and I put a brad through
the middle.

3. All the rest of the flowers and pearls are from my
stash and they have all been adhered using my heat
gum.

I used a piece of Lilac satin ribbon to create the hanger.

The reason I have used mainly Lilac is that it my
mums favourite colour.

There it it! my creation and I am so proud of it
and I have also created today another little project
but I will share that with you sometime this week
as its another little present for my Mum who
will be 87 on Saturday.

Hope you can join me again tomorrow

Good Morning

My Crafty Friends, followers and Visitors

Yippee it s Saturday the weekend is  here at last

Hope it's a good one for you all and today sees the start of another
challenge over at Creative Craft Cottage Challenge Blog

Our theme today is  - Include A Sentiment
Now that's an easy on, so we really want to see you over there
show casing all your creations.

Our wonderful sponsor this week is :-

Karleigh Sue and the prize in 4 Digi images of your choice !

Our lovely design team ladies have been working hard
and have created some stunning work, so please pop over
take a look and join in.

Here is my design team make, hope you like?

DETAILS

1. The teepee was made using three pieces of A4 card
and before I joined them together I embossing each one.

2. Using my pro markers I coloured each section of the
embossed design and by the time I came round to the
last section believe me I had had enough, did not realise
when I started just how many sections it involved  colouring.
To give a little more effect  to the teepee I took three cocktail
sticks and adhered them through the fold at the top of the
teepee to give the impression of a frame. The teepee can
be unfastened at the side and folded flat.

                     3. The image is from Karleigh Sue  and is called
Autumn Moon (you can find her HERE ) and I have coloured her
with pro markers then fuzzy cut her and adhered her to the
front of the teepee.

The sentiment I used was from my stash and reads

When the world says
Give Up
Hope whispers
Try it one  more time

I really like that sentiment and think its very inspiring.

I will be off to the craft show today at Leigh with
Mary and hope I don't spend to much He He!!!
Will have to keep hands firmly in my pockets.

I do hope you will come an join in our challenge
at Creative Craft Cottage and look forward to
seeing all your creations.

I Thank You

Good Morning
My Crafty Friend, Followers and Visitors,

Well it's the start of another week, anyone getting up to anything special.

I believe its half term here in the UK so I guess most of you will be taking
a break from work and looking after the children.  Probably by the end
of the week wishing for Monday to come to get the children back in
school and you back to normal.

I see that my little band of followers is growing steadily and hopefully
soon I will be up to 70.  If you have started following me and
I have not returned a visit to your blog, it's more than likely that
I don't have your blog address. Please leave me it in your
comments as I do want to start following you all.

Off to Mums today to check everything is ok and hopefully weather
permitting clean her outside windows, quite easy really as she lives
in a bungalow.
Not wanting to speak to soon but my back seems to be getting a little better
and I have been thinking  about what could have brought it on and the
only thing that I can think of is back in January I  have to go and get
my blood pressure checked and they found my cholesterol was quite high
and told me they were going to put me on Statins. I have never heard of
them but they help lower cholesterol but I was told if I started having
headaches, joint pains or feeling very tired to stop taking them and
go back.  Well I have been having headaches, falling asleep at the
drop of a hat and of course the pain in my back started.

So I thought Jennifer stop taking the dam things and that was
last Thursday and the pain is defiantly getting easier and I am
not falling asleep as soon as I sit in the armchair, although I do fall
asleep later in the evening but that is something I have done for
years, No Comments about OLD AGE Thank You  ha ha !!!.

Boy I do waffle on don't I, sorry folks but I just wanted to bring
you up to speed and promise to SHUT UP.

Today's make is again using the Kanban kit, I think its breading
in the box as it does not seem to be going down but then it
is a lovely kit to work with.

DETAILS

1. Started with an 8 x8 card and made it into an easel card

2. Using paper from Craftwell Cards paper pad I covered the
bottom and top of the card.

3. Using the Kanban topper I mounted it onto the card using
foam pads. I added a paper border also from the kit along
the top.

4. I added (one of my favourite sentiments) There is nothing
Special about this card except the person holding it
made a stopper out of silver mirri board and added
the sentiment Thank You to it.

There you have it finished - what's that I hear you say
about time she shut up waffling.

Hope you can call back tomorrow and I promise it will not
be an essay.

Until Next Time
As Always
Take Care and Happy Crafting.

You Must Be Clean

Good Morning
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

And how are we all this Sunday Morning?

Looks as though it's not going to be a bad day weather  wise, hope it's the same
wherever you are.

Today I am showing a card made using the lovely HouseMouse designs.

DETAILS

1. Card size is 5 x7 and I have decided to use it in landscape
format.

2. Using the Housemouse  cd from Joanna Sheen I printed off
the image and a backing paper to match. The backing paper
I used to mat onto the card.

3. Taking one of the larger images I mounted it at an angle onto
a piece of green card to match the border colour around the image.
Before mounting onto the card I wrapped a green ribbon
around it.

4. In my stash I found some alphabet's and they were the perfect
colour to match the card, so I made up the the saying
Bath time Fun and placed then off set  to each other
on the card using foam pads.

There you have it, quick fun little card.

Before I go I would like to  show you the card I
made for Linda & Rick as it was their anniversary
on Friday - Don't think she will mind me sharing?

And here is a photo of the box lid

The colour was Navy blue and white and the flowers were
also Navy but they do look black.

Well my friends, time for me to go for today.
I will be back again tomorrow and I hope you will
visit me then.

Until Next Time

Happy Valentine's Day to you all and hope your loved one is going to
smother you will lots of love today.  If you don't have someone
special to share the day with, take heart you are not alone as long as
you have all your crafty family. We never judge you just try and
cheer one another up and share, listen to your troubles  and try to lend a helping hand.

Off shopping (nothing exciting only Food) then not sure  what we will be doing after
that.

Today I have again used a Sherri Baldy image, sorry but I cannot stop
using these images, I am in love with them.

1. Card is 6 x 6 scolloped edge and to this I have added
a piece of fawn coloured plain card.

2. Next using the Tonic die Elegant Vine Square and a sheet
of Hunkeydory patterned  card I created the backing.

3. The inner part of the die is shaped as a tag and I used
this to cut not only the image but two more  tags in
both the patterned and plain card and laid them at
different angles on the  card. A blue spotted ribbon
was wrapped around the base before adhering to the card.

3. The image has been coloured using my new Copic pens
and I must say I love them and cannot wait to get the
rest of the set. The image is again one of the Sweet Geeks from
Sherri Baldy.

4. To complete I made a bow using the same ribbon and
added a blue flower brad. Since she had the word
Paris across her top I decided to add a metal Eiffel Tower
embellishment.

Hope you have enjoyed your visit and that you will
pop back tomorrow.

be found here) I have coloured the image with pro markers and
die cut using SB Nestabilites Pearl Effect die.

card, then the green embossed card.  The stopper
JUST A NOTE has also be die cut using the smaller
SB Nestabilites Pear Effect die.

Welcome Little One

Good Morning
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Quick post toady as I am going to try and do some housework if
my back will allow, so don't know how long it's going to take me.

Will be doing a spot of colouring this afternoon with Linda and having
a natter.

Another card today using  the Kanban collection

DETAILS

1. Using an A4 sheet  to make an A5 card I then
covered it with backing paper from the kit.

2. I took a piece of craft card and using a SB die
cut it a little larger that the topper and adhered
straight on the card.

3. The topper was then adhered to the card at an
angle.

4. The sentiment and banner were from my stash.

Hope you have enjoyed this quick card and
hope to see you back tomorrow.

He Love me, He Love Me Not

Good Morning

My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are all doing today - did you all have a good weekend?
I did quite a lots of crafting over the weekend and even surprised myself with
the amount  I did, guess the brain must have engaged fully.

Well I have to tell you folks,  I have also been suffering with really bad
backache since Thursday and its not getting any better, who said getting
old gracefully?.  I have been having trouble with my hip, back and leg
for a while and had physiotherapy, which on the first visit worked and
I got relief. On my second visit however, for reason know only to
my body it came back again, thought nothing of it and hoped it would
sort itself out.  Wrong and its been getting worse each day then what
did Jennifer do?
Decided to have a walk on Thursday to town which is around a mile
away- not far I hear you say! when part of it is up  hill boy it's far.
By the time I got there, I was fit for nothing and yes I got the bus back.

Anyway to cut a long story short, I have made another appointment
and go back Wednesday Morning and fingers crossed she can sort
me out, Lord knows someone should as I am walking around like
a ruptured duck.

Moaning over, down to business, today's card is again made
using a Sherri Baldy image that I Won! sorry cannot remember her name.

DETAILS

1. Started with an 8 x8 card and  to this I added a piece
of co-ordination card that I had embossed with the
folder Dry Stone Wall then sanded back to show the
core colour.

2. The image has been coloured using  Copic pens
and then die cut. I also cut a larger frame from
silver mirri board and mounted the image onto it.

3. A row of silver diamante hearts was added down the side,
three flowers and three silver  candies .

Well that's all for today folks, more tomorrow and
promise won't rant on about my back.

Hope you see you back tomorrow.

Until Next Time

Thank You

Good Morning,

My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Hope your weekend is going the way you planned?

A very warm welcome to Kate who is another new follower,
I am truly grateful to you all, I know I have said it before
but to have your support really really means a lot to me and
I thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart.

Busy day today as I have DT work to sort out and want to get
on with some colouring.  So that means a day in the craft room for me.

After doing a spot of tidying the cupboard in my craft room last week
I came across a box and found it contained a load of Kanban kits, so
I have decided to make a few cards using some of it, seeing as I have
had the kit since January 2013, it's about time don't you think ,hehe.

There will be about 4 to start with over the next few days and here is
the first.  Apologies for the picture as its not very good, showing to dark
the colour is a lot lighter lilac. Well I never claimed to be David Bailey.

DETAILS

1. Base card is 8 x 8 and to this I have added a piece of
backing paper from The cottage garden paper pad by
Craftwork Cards.

2. Before adhering  to the base I wrapped two pieces of
organza ribbon horizontally and vertically onto the
backing paper and then created the chocolate  box
bow.

3. The topper is out of the Kanban collection and all
I have done is add foam pads to give some dimension.

To complete the sentiment (Thank You) again part of the
collection has been added to the top.

There you have it, quick make but think it's quite elegant,
what do you think?

That's all for today my friends, hope to see you back
tomorrow.

Until Next Time
