Smell The Roses

Good Morning
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Have we all recovered yet from Christmas? only the new Year to welcome in, then its
all over and back to normal.  We had a quiet Christmas, brought mum over to stay
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and took her home Boxing Day night.

Mum kept saying she wished we had snow to make it more like Christmas and
she got her wish, as it started snowing when we took her home. She was
overjoyed to see it. I am just glad it's gone as it's not safe for driving around in,
we just have the ice to contend with at present but hopefully it will clear soon.

Anyway I thought it about time I got my act together  and did a blog, so here it
is, nothing too creative I'm afraid as sorting out my DT work ready for next week.

DETAILS

1. Card is 8 x 8 and has been covered with backing paper from
Jem's Design CD Beautiful Birdcages which I had opened
up in MCS so that I could add the image directly onto
the page.
2. Still in MCS I took another backing paper and created the
frame, then added the image from Tatty Twinkle and
placed her in the centre to complete.  I then printed
it off and adhered to my card.

3. To enhance the card and give some depth, I added buttons,
a spotted bow and a glittered dragonfly all from stash.

Way hey there it is, quick simple but quite an effect card ( don't you think?)

Well that's all from today off the dry my hair as going visiting today.

Until Next Time

Tis The Season

Good Afternoon
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Not long to go now before the big day arrives, sometimes  you wonder why do
we rush around like headless chickens, when  its all over in a day.

I am still looking forward to it though - hope you are too.

As you know with it being Wednesday, its time for another challenge  over
at Penny's Paper Crafty and the design team once again have made some
fabulous creations, so pop on over and take a peep.

 Our Theme this week is:-

ANYTHING GOES - Easy so come on, join in the fun.

Our Sponsor this week is BUGABOO - whose prize is 7 YES
7 Digi's of winners choice
Here is my design - hope you like it as much I have enjoyed creating it.

DETAILS

1. I made a stepper card and covered with paper  from
my stash.

2. The image from Bugaboo is called Psycho Stella and
I have coloured her using pro markers.  I really think
this image is great fun and really enjoyed bringing
her to life. Every time I look at her I just start to
smile.

3.  Once the image was coloured I die cut it using  a Signature
Die from Joanna Sheen. Using the same die I cut another
frame from blue satin  card and mounted the image into it.

4. To enhance the frame I covered with pearls added an orange
and white  spotted bow ( to match Stella's Jacket) and two
stick pins in orange and blue.

5. To complete the card I added flowers from my stash and added
the sentiment (which is also from Bugaboo and goes with this
image) and was die cut using SB die Fancy Frames Tag 1.

Thanks for dropping by and we look forward to seeing
your creations.

Christmas Hat

Good afternoon, my crafty friends, followers and visitors

How are you all, not to stressed I hope?

Well as they say, if I am not ready for Christmas now, I never will be. I cannot
think anymore if everything is sorted so it's time I stopped fretting and just
sat back and enjoy.

Since my last blog we have put all the decorations, tree's and lights up. It did take
us all last weekend but it is worth it, have you all managed to get your decorations
up?

Today I thought I would have a go at using  my MCS and this is what I came up with.

DETAILS

1. Card size 8 x 8 and I have matted it with paper from
MCS that matched the image.

2. The frame has been done using the Tonic over the edge
die, (I have finally got the hang of doing this) and I cut
it out of white card.

3. The image is from MCS and I have glittered her hat and
fur trim around her shoulders (sorry its not showing up
very well ).

4. To complete I have added red and white feathers, red rose
stick pin and gold Simmer Dome Stickers.

Thanks for calling and leaving your comments, I love
reading them and I would like to welcome  Saskia
to my blog.

Magical Moments

Morning My Crafty  Friend, Followers and Visitors

Have a great weekend but most importantly  Enjoy it.

Quick card today, hope you like

DETAILS
1. Card made into a easel using A4 white card.  Added black card
then using the Dir sire Embossalicious Ornate Butterflies, I
embossed a piece of blue satin card and adhered this to the black
card.

2. The image was taken from the CD Wishing on a Star  and I have
mounted it onto a piece of the same blue satin card  and glittered
their wings and the star before putting it onto the card at an angle.

3. The unicorn was die cut from a die from Imagination Crafts
and I have added a piece of patterned vellum to the back before
mounting this also using  pads to the card.

4. For the base of the easel I have again matted and layered
with black card and the blue satin  card.  Before  adhering
them to the base I have  wound a black ribbon twice around.

5. To keep with the magical theme I have scattered sliver  fairies
from my stash around the card.

6. The sentiments read Come fly with me (at the top) and
(Believe) at the bottom acting as the stopper, both were
again taken from the cd Wishing on a Star.

Thanks for calling and if you can leave a comment, I would
love it.

Special Day

Good Afternoon, My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Well its the end of the week, boy are they going fast.  It will be Christmas
before we know it.  Although its a hectic  time for everyone, I do love it.

Once everything has been done and its time to relax with family and getting
up Christmas morning and opening presents, Great.

As I said yesterday , we are going to be busy bees tomorrow and Sunday getting all
the outside decorations up. Although we usually end up having, shall we say
heated disagreements its worth it once the lights are switched on.

Then next week I will make a start on the inside, as we seem to have as many
lights inside as out and three trees to decorate.  I might be exhausted after it
but it's worth it, I sit there like a Cheshire cat just looking at sparkling light.
You would think I was a child not a pensioner he he!!

Anyway onto the reason for the blog - My card, quick make using
Hunky dory, hope you like?

DETAILS

1. Card size 6.5 x 7.5 and I have rounded the edges. To the base
I have added a piece of  Hundy dory card again rounding the  edges.

2. The it I have used is from the Fluttery Wishes and is called The Special Day
Taking a piece of the paper from the kit, I layered it onto the front to form
a panel.

3. Next using SB die Lacey Circles I cut the frame out of the same
card as used on the base of the card and adhered the sentiment.
To enhance the  sentiment I have placed silver gems across the side.

4. The flowers are meant to be decoupaged but I just wanted to arrange
them down the card ( I think it's worked Ok). I then added the scroll.

5. To finish I have added a ribbon around the card and then created a
chocolate box bow and added a diamante  heart to the centre.

Well that's your lot today my friends, hope you have enjoyed your visit

So until next time

Sail Away

Good Evening My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are we all this evening? I have been playing catch up with my housework
as I have not been feeling to good for the last few days.  Think I just needed to
chill out and recharge my batteries.

I did manage to finish all my chores  by early afternoon and even went into my
craft room and managed to produce six card, all of which will appear each
day as I am going to be busy until at least Sunday night, not only looking
after mum's household chores and shopping but also will be helping hubby
to put up the outside Christmas Decorations.
That should be fun !!

Anyway here is the first card and I have opted to do a male card ( as with most
of you I do not like doing these but hey ho they have to be done)

Hope you like?
DETAILS

1. Card size is my favourite 8 x 8 and I have matted the front
using paper from  Tim Holt's idea-ology .

2. The ship was die cut using Joanna Sheen's Signature Dies
and then I inked the hull using Tim Holts distressed ink Walnut Stain.
I adhered it to the card using foam pads for extra depth.

3. I then die cut two anchors using Robert Adam's die and placed on
the card using foam pads.

4. The shells, chest and coins are all from my stash.  The sentiment
has been inked again using Walnut Stain Distressed ink.

5. To complete I have added gold cord .

And that as they say, is it!

Thanks for calling and leaving  comments, I love reading
them and do appreciate  each and everyone of you for
taking the time to visit my little part of blogland.

Until Next Time
