Butterfly Blue

Good Afternoon my crafty friends, followers and visitors,

Hope you are all well?, its a funny day today, when I got up at 6am the sun
was shining and lovely blue sky. As the day has gone on cloud and the
sun has decided to play peep a boo (but it's forgotten the peep),
never mind tomorrow's another day.  Quick blog today as I have to go
and do my ironing before hubby come home.  Hope you like toady's
make?

 DETAILS

1. Card stock is 6 x51/2 with scalloped edge down the side.
2. I matted card with white embossed card then blue pearl card
that has been embossed with leaves. Before I stuck to the
card I adhered a blue ribbon round the middle and along
the edge.
3. The image I coloured with pro-markers then used Print
Magic (Crystal)  by Debbi Moore to add shine.
4. I then cut the image using Spellbinder Dies Labels Eight
and also using the next size up in Labels Eight I cut
another  in brown.  The brown frame has been edged
with gold peel offs.
5. Then using the Tonic butterflies dies I cut three butterflies
in various sizes and stuck then onto the ribbon. I used
gems to create the butterflies trails from my stash.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit and as always
Take Care and Happy Crafting.

Fairy Dust

Good afternoon my crafty friends, followers and visitors,

Busy weekend for me as we are stripping the hallway, stairs and landing ready
for it to be re-plastered. Have been to the crematorium this  morning as
tomorrow would have been my dad's birthday so went to say hello and
leave him some flowers.  Just had some time off to do this post as I am
packing up working for today and am going to get some sun before
it goes in .  Hope you like today's make?

DETAILS
1. Took 8 x8 blank white card matted with pink pearl card
that has been embossed using a Tonic embossing folder.

2. From My Craft Studio I took the background and the
image of the toadstool, then added a fairy image so that
she was sitting on the toadstool. I then stuck it all to
pink mirri board.

3. Before I mounted it to the card I took pink ribbon and
arranged around and finished with a bow.  Once mounted
onto the card stock I completed by adding pink gems
to the ribbon and corners, added flowers and glittered
the fairy's wings and part of her outfit.

I do hope you have enjoyed your visit and that you
come back soon.

As Always

Gone Fishing

Good Afternoon, Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Having a nice day today crafting with Mary and catch up chat. Managed
to get a photo ( although not very good)  of the Woodpecker that has decided to visit
me for the past week and whilst  I am doing this blog he is here again.
Have managed to do a male card today although I do not like doing them
as I never see to get them right but I am quite pleased with this one.

DETAILS

1. Using an A5 cream  scalloped edge card I matted it with
Brown card stock.
2. I then stamped the images onto white card and coloured
with pro-markers, then distressed with Tim Holts Walnut
Stain.  The images and verse are all from Personal Impressions
Fishing Set  -Designed by Sue Dix.
3. They were then die cut using Spellbinder Labels Ten
also same die used to cut brown card that the images are
mounted onto too.
4. The background although you cannot see very well
has been taken from the Digi Kit embossing folder
Scenes by Serif
5. To complete I  added the Happy Birthday
die cut sentiment.

Well that's all for today, apart from welcoming  my
new followers and my thanks to
you all for all for your support and lovely comments, they
 really do mean a lot.

Hopefully be back tomorrow, so as always

OVER THE GARDEN WALL

Good Evening,
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

I hope  you are well and making the most of our nice weather, just wondering how long it will last.

I have had a nice day today, Nigel, Oscar (our Pekingese) and myself all went off to
Cleveleys (Near Blackpool) and had a lovely walk along the prom, had a walk
round the shops and had a spot of lunch.  The weather was lovely although a little
breezy but could not complain.
Seeing as how Nigel is now watching England playing, I thought I would make
a card, Hope you like.

DETAILS

1. I took an 8 x8 plain white card and using  tan coloured card stock
I embossed using  the brick wall embossing folder from Docrafts
Papermania.

2. I distressed the wall with Tim Holts Walnut Stain ink then drew
the ivy and coloured  it with Pro-markers.

3. The die cuts are  Tattered Lace - the flowers are the free
die from issue 7 Tattered Lace magazine.  Sentiment is
also Tattered Lace and the two doves are from the top
of the flower arch also Tattered Lace.

I do hope you have enjoyed your visit and thanks for popping
by.

FLOWER GIRL

Good Afternoon my Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Hope you are all well today?.  Not been a very nice day with the weather although it's
not cold but no sun, Ah well cannot ask for to much can we?
Not been up to much today only went into the town to do some shopping and buy
a present for Hubby and I with the money that mum gave us for our Anniversary.

I bought a Solar Squirrel who is looking through binoculars (quite sweet), I
thought it apt as we do have squirrels in our garden. Took it to mum's so that
she could see what she has bought and had a cuppa with her before coming home.

Today's make is a mixture, hope you like?
DETAILS

1. White 6 x 51/2 card stock which I have embossed. I then covered with
white embossing powder and then taking Cosmic Shimmer
Iridescent's I painted in some of the leaves  in Ultramarine
and Red Fire and left some in white. For the rest of the background I used
Warm Peach.
2. The image I coloured using Pro-Markers and then distressed the
background with Tim Holt's Antique Linen to distract from the
white background.

Well my friends that's all I have time for as I am cooking a dinner and
I have to go and feed my neighbours cat as I am looking after him while they
are away.

DAY DREAMING

Good Afternoon my Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Well the day has not been too bad so far, hubby took me for a drive this morning then we
had a spot of lunch then back home for a relaxing couple of hours in the sunshine.
On the whole a nice Anniversary.  Will be going off into town tomorrow for a spot
of business then I am told we will be off somewhere else, we shall see.

Today's card has taken me a couple of days to complete, as once I have coloured the
image I could not get the combination right but I think I have managed it in the end.

DETAILS

1. Card size is 8 x 8 scalloped edge and to this I  added
gold mirri board.
2. Onto the mirri board I added a backing paper from
Craftworks Cards Paper Pad -  Paradise but before
sticking it down I have added a gold ribbon.
3. The image has been coloured with pro-markers then
distressed.  I then added a gold border and using
foam pads for height I  stuck  it to the backing paper.
4. To complete I glued two buttons, a gold bow, candy's
and added the sentiment SWEET DREAMS cut from
the Tattered Lace Sentiment die

I hope you have enjoyed your visit and a warm welcome to my new
follower.

Anniversary Wishes

Good Evening My Crafty friends and Followers,

How are we all this evening?, weather is very mixed here in Warrington, sunshine showers and
cloudy. I must say that we have not seen the big yellow ball in the sky at all today but fingers
crossed for tomorrow. Not been a very good day as on our way to my mum's to  do
some jobs a stone hit hubby's windscreen and we now have a large crack in it,
needless to say Nigel was not a happy bunny and we cannot get it fixed until
Friday (good job he is on holiday this week and not having to trudge
 up and down the motorway)
I hope you like todays make as it's for my husband as it's our 24th wedding
anniversary tomorrow, where have all those years gone,  I'll be blowed if I know.
Don't know if we are going out or not but I will report.

DETAILS

1. 8 x8  scalloped edged card to which I added bronze mirri
Board and bronze ribbon.
2. The design is made up by using various images from MCS CD's
and before I adhered it to the card I tore  it to give a more shabby
look.
3. To complete I added three skeleton leaves down the side from
my stash.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will come back soon.
I would also like to welcome my new followers and to
thank you all for the lovely comments you leave, I really do
appreciate then.

Love & Romance

Good Afternoon My Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Firstly I would like welcome my new followers and to thank you all for all
your lovely comments.  I really do appreciate you taking the time to visit.

Well the weather here has not been as bad as expected, heavy showers then
dry spells, hope its not too bad where you are?.  Not been up to much today only
shopping this morning then in my craft room all afternoon but its  been a
struggle today for some reason to get any inspiration, you know those days when
you think you have an idea, then when you come to do it everything goes wrong.
In spite of all that I have managed to make a card and I think the way its going
that will be all I will do today. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

DETAILS

1. Started with an 8 x 8 silver card to which I have added
a Lilac backing card embossed with Die'sire Embossalicious
Folder (Ornate Butterflies)  I just love it.

2.Taking one of the Hunkydory Toppers, I  glittered it in
certain areas to add definition.  I then created a frame using
a Tonic punch and stuck it to the back of the topper before
adhering to the card.

3. I then placed a black ribbon around the card and added a bow.

4. To complete I added some Lilac wire gems and three black roses.

Well my friends, that's all for today
and as always

Drive On By

Good Morning Everyone,

Well it's nearly weekend, where are the weeks going, soon be Christmas (oh No I Hear You Cry).
Quick made today as off to mum's to check on her, do her cleaning and washing, of course little Oscar will be with me (he is my little dog that's on my profile picture) just to make sure I take him
for his walk. Depending on the weather when I come back I will either be in my garden
doing some planting or in my craft room planting idea's onto cards.
Decided to make  a male card today, I do find these quite difficult to get just right, but Hey Ho
I have given it a go.

DETAILS

1. I took an A5 Aperture card and secured a piece of acetate
on the inside to create the window.

2. Then using gold card I embossed it with a brick effect
5 x 7 Docrafts  Papermania  embossing folder.  The
Mini  Car stamp from Singles and designed by
Sam Poole was stamped onto white super  smooth card
and coloured using Pro-Markers. I then cut around the
design and mounted it onto the gold card using foam pads
and  then sealed the card.

3. At each corner I added a piece of black ribbon and
buttons from my stash.
The sentiment was part of the stamp set and I mounted
it onto a piece of gold card before mounting onto the card.

I do hope you have enjoyed your visit and will pop back soon
and I would like to thank you all for all your kind comments,
I really do appreciate them.  I would also like to welcome
a new follower Dawn to my blog.

mirror the topper. It was then mounted onto the card using
foam pads.

Condolance

Good Evening my crafty friends, followers and visitors

What a day it's been, the  weather is up and down one minute sunny next bucketing down.  What
has happened to summer?  Today I am only showing this card as its for one of our fellow crafters
in the USA who has just lost her 4yr old son, so very very sad. It will not be entered into any challenges, I just wanted your opinions as I will be posting it off on Wednesday.

I am not going into any detail on this as I don't think it appropriate  under
the circumstances.

So until next time

appreciate you taking the time to visit me.

Well I did tell you that I was going to the Great Northern Festival yesterday,
oh boy was it good. Quite a few of the big name's were there and I did manage to get to
meet some of them and have my picture taken with them.  Yes I hear you asking " Did you
spend much ", the answer is yes don't be daft of course I did, in fact I spent to much
but what the heck isn't that what money is made for?.  Judging by the amount of
people that were there, I would say it was a great success and I hope they will
do it again next year and if any of you live in the North West I would say make
note for next year to get on over to Bolton.

Today's make is again something new for me, (boy am I being adventurous ) Hope you like.

card, which I had scalloped the edges to match the card.
I then fastened to the card using brads with gold gem
centres.

4. The whole card was finished off by adding a flower from
Sweet Lilac and held in place by a Lilac gem brad from
my stash.

Well that's all for today my friends as as always,
