My Materpiece

Good Morning
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the sunshine,
it makes a change to have good weather when its a bank holiday.

Just a quick one today as off in the garden catching more
sunshine while I can.

A while ago I had a go at doing a canvas, so please with
the result and its now hanging proudly.

DETAILS

1. On a large canvas I painted it with Gesso, then I took
various items from my stash and arranged them.

2. I stencilled in two sections of the canvas and
then adhered the winged clock ( Purchased from
Alter This). A great side to get all your mixed
media products from and very reasonably priced.

3.All the items were then glued onto the canvas
ie. screws, nuts and bolts, keys padlock, old
belt buckle. Some metal art items and flowers.

4. Once all glued I then gave everything two coats
of Gesso. Once that was dry then came the part
I had no idea what colours or how to go about
laying then, so what did I do, The usual for
me, lied all the distress inks up and picked
then up one by one and started spraying until
I got the effect that you see.  Boy was I a happy
chick as I never thought I would get the
effect that  I did.

I hope you like my little piece of art and thank
you for calling.  See you again tomorrow.

Until Next Time

Good Morning
My Crafty Friend, Followers and Visitors

How is everyone doing?

A Bit More Time To Craft ,

their challenges are

Always Anything Goes

 so really easy.

The prizes for three randomly picked winners will be digi papers
from Lozzy. ( If you look on the challenge blog under paper pick tab, you
will see all the fabulous paper that Lozzy has designed and believe me
there are some fabulous ones). Also there is a Freebie Friday, where
you can get some free papers.

We would also  love you  to join our Facebook group

Challenge Blog http://abitmoretimetocraft.blogspot.com.au/

DETAILS

1. I started with a 5 x 5 fancy edged card blank and I have added
one of the new papers from Lozzy entitled DARK GRUNGE
isn't it fabulous?.  Well worth a visit to check this paper
pad out as the colours and designs are super.

2. Before attaching the paper to the card I rounded the edges
and secured dark blue ribbon with a heart slider to the
corner.

3. Using the  stamps and die from Tattered Lace
(Spring into Summer Butterflies) I created the
trail of butterflies that first I coloured using
water colour pencils.  The sentiment is also
included and I used Framed  Tag from Spellbinder
to cut it out.  Before I released it from the die
I used pan pastels all over it.

To complete I added clear gems to two corners.

There you have it, thanks to the backing paper I
have created a quick and easy but I think pretty
card.

I do hope you will go over to the challenge and join in.

Hi There

Good Morning
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are we all doing?  Well that's April done and dusted
and here we are into May and nearly half way through the year.

Welcome to our first challenge over at

This challenge blog is solely for the more sexier/Darker/ Goth
type of images.  I have never really been into this type of work
but as the challenge blog belongs to our sister blog
Creative Craft Cottage, I thought why not give it a go.

The theme will always be

ANYTHING GOES

so plenty of scope for you all to show us your darker side!!

Our sponsor this month is

We have a great team of ladies and we are also having
a DT callout.  Why not pop along and have a look at
the amazing work the girls have produced and if you
feel you would like to join us, then go on give it a go.

So without further ado, here is my card, hope you like
DETAILS

1. Card size is 8 x 8 and to this I have matted paper from the

2. To conceal the join in the papers I had added a length
of white satin ribbon.

3. The image is named Jersey Girl and she was coloured
with Copic. If you would like to purchase her, then
just click on the link HERE. I then die cut the image
using  SB die Fanciful Lattice.  I inked through the
die before removing the image using TH distress ink
Toffee Crush.  I then mounted her onto some purple
card and rounded the edges before adhering to my
with foam tape.

4. The flourished were hiding in my bit box and I added
small white roses where the two flourished met.

To complete I die cut the words HOT CHICK as I
think she defiantly looks one.

I do hope you will come along and have a go, we are
excited to see what you make.

Good Morning

My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are we all doing. well I hope ?!!

Welcome to challenge # 9 over at
The theme for this months challenge is

Spotty Dotty Polka Dots

You have until  the 31st May  to enter so lets see your
take on this theme.

If you would like to be a Guest Designer
then the details can be found on the blog.

This was an easy card for me to make as I
already had a spotty card in my stash and wanted
to create a CAS card.

DETAILS

1.  The card size is 6 x 6 and its comes  already coloured
and spotty ( How easy is that).

2. I took a circular pinhole layering die from Tonic
and die cut using plain white card.  Next I stamped
the image onto the circle using a little stamp that
I picked up from a £1 bin at a craft fair.
(Sorry there was not title or make on the stamp).

3. I also found another stamp in the £1 bin, its the
rocks and stamped this onto the card so that
my little girl would be standing on then.

4. Using T/H distress inks I used then as water
colours (First time) and coloured in the girl,
rocks and grass.

To complete I made a small bow added to the side
and added little pink flowers.

Fairy Dreams

My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Happy Bank Holiday and I hope whatever you have planed
for the day works out well.

Welcome to another challenge

over at

The theme chosen for this month is

Fairy Dreams

We Have New Challenge Blog Rules, so please Note:-

Entrants Must Use A Digi or Element from a Cd

Also Only Two entries are allowed, unless you have used
a Whoopsi Daisy image then 3 entries are allowed
==============================

Hope you will pop over and take a peek at what my team
buddies have created for your inspiration.

My card has been made using the topper from the
Whoopsi Daisy  Digi Design cd . You can purchase
it and more gorgeous Cd's and didgi images just by
clicking on the link HERE.

DETAILS

1. Using the Digi Designs cd, I printed off two backing papers
that matched my chosen  image.

2. My card blank is 7 x 7 and I matted it first with a piece of
one of the backing papers, `Next layer was gold mirri card.

3. With the other backing paper I decided to create a panel
and adhered this flat to the mirri card.

4. The topper I decided to fuzzy cut and before adhering to
the card I took a paper doily, cut it in half and stuck to
the card.  I then used peel off border strips to the
edges of the mirri card and down the panel and down
the side of the doily. (You do forget how useful the
old faithful peel off's can be and  I think they still give a
nice finished edge to a  project)

5. My topper was then adhered to the doily using foam
tape.

To complete I added a row of pearl drops down the panel
and glitter table decoratations  round the fairy.  I
decided to use Spectrum Noir clear  glitter pen on her
wings and added a little gem to her hair ribbon.

Thanks for calling and hope to see you over at
WHOOPSI DAISY challenge blog with all your
lovely fairies.

Sweet Poppy

Good Morning,

My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Here we are, yet another month has flown by
and now we are into May.

Welcome to our latest challenge # 33 over at

The theme is as always  Anything Goes

My design team buddies have created some fabulous
cards, well worth taking a peek. I am sure you are
bound to find inspiration from their  work

Our sponsors  for this challenge are:-

Prize 1 Image

and

Michelle R Designs
Prize €10 Gift Certificate

I have used the image Poppy Glamour  from
Ching Chou Kuik and the backing papers
from Michelle R Designs Deisgner Paper Sets
In The Garden

DETAILS
1. Card is 7 x 7 scalloped edged and I have used
it as a Tent Card.

2. Next I covered with red card and onto this I
added one of the  gorgeous backing papers,
I really like these designs as they are such
pretty colours and delicate images. Red satin
ribbon was laid across the centre.

3. I created another panel  using layering dies one
from red card the other using another of the
design papers.  Before I adhered this panel
to the card I die cut the butterfly border twice,
once in red card and the other in left over
baking paper from the first layer.
The red butterfly border was adhered to
the first panel  and I then secured it at
an angle using foam tape.

4. Next another panel in the next size down was
cut from red card.  The image printed out
onto super smooth and coloured with Copic.
She was then adhered to the panel and again
using foam pads. Before I secured her down
I added the butterfly border to the top but
I have cut away a couple of the butterflies
making the border smaller.

To complete I added red candy and one of the
butterflies that I cut from the border.
